Legacy can design and provide a wide
variety of distribution switchgear to meet your needs. Whether low voltage
or medium voltage, Legacy can provide the solution. Legacy can provide
standard switchgear from a variety of major manufactures such as Siemens,
ABB or General Electric. The choice is up to the customer preference for
the selection of the main components. Where there is no specifications
accompanied with the inquiry, Legacy will specify Siemens for the supply
of the main components
Several problems can arise with mass produced switchgear.
Typically switchgear delivered from major manufactures such as ABB or
Siemens does not meet marine standards for certifications such as DNV or
ABS. Another typical problem is that most major manufactures do not give a
wide variety of foot print options. This in no way means that the
equipment is not of high quality or standards, only that for certain needs
it may be beneficial to integrate the component parts into a more workable
unit.
Legacy can assist in these areas by either providing the
design that suits your needs or by manufacturing the switchgear to your
specifications while utilizing the manufacture of choice for the circuit
breakers and other hardware physically within the units.
The switchgear shown to the left is an example of utilizing the
Siemens product in an arrangement that fulfills the customers needs. This
600 volt switchgear was certified by ABS for offshore marine use aboard a
DP3 vessel.
